Best-selling author Kevin O’Brien will be at The Book Stall (811 Elm St in Winnetka, IL) on Thursday, August 17th at 6:30 PM to discuss and sign copies of his new thriller, Hide Your Fear. Mr. O’Brien is a long-time friend of the store, and his appearances are always a raucously good time. This event is free and open to the public.
In O’Brien’s 18th book, Hide Your Fear, newly divorced Caitlin Stoller and her children move into a charming old Tudor-style house in the coastal town of Echo, Washington. The place is a bargain, but as the weeks pass, Catlin starts receiving messages—first friendly, then unsettling, hinting at the property’s dark past--there are the rumors that their new home is cursed. Caitlin doesn’t want to believe the whispers, but something strange is going on. Personal items go missing, and there are too many accidents.
It’s been said of Mr. O’Brien’s work, “If Hitchcock were alive today and writing novels, his name would be Kevin O’Brien.” We recommend his work for the scares, thrills, and edge-of-the-seat suspense. We recommend Mr. O’Brien’’s in-store appearances because he’s hilarious and his hometown crowd loves him the way we do.
Kevin O’Brien, a graduate of New Trier High School and former railroad inspector, has been writing best-selling fiction since 1997. For more information on this event or other author events hosted by The Book Stall contact Robert McDonald at (847) 446 8880 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
