About the Author: Lake Bluff author Kathryn P. Haydon writes poetry to think with fresh eyes. Her poems have been published in New Croton Review, Written RiverThe Bedford Record-Review, Clinch, and East on Central (upcoming) as well as in books, academic journals, and in her first poetry collection, What Do Birds Say to the Moon? Unsalted Blue Sunrise was written here on the North Shore, on the bluffs overlooking Lake Michigan. 

Primarily a speaker, facilitator, and the founder of Sparkitivity, Kathryn writes and talks widely on creative problem solving, learning, and the secret strengths of outlier thinkers. She has written several chapters in edited volumes, hundreds of articles, and has a column in Psychology Today.Her most recent nonfiction book is The Non-Obvious Guide to Being More Creative (No Matter Where You Work).

Kathryn earned her BA in Spanish and Latin American Literature at Northwestern University, and her MSc in creativity and change leadership from the acclaimed International Center for Studies in Creativity at the State University of New York..
