On Thursday, January 31st at 12 noon, the Loyola University Chicago School of Law presents Nancy MacLean in their 10th Floor Courtroom at 25 E. Pearson Street in Chicago. Dr. MacLean is the William Chafe Professor of History and Public Policy at Duke University, and the author of Behind the Mask of Chivalry (a New York Times "noteworthy" book of the year) and Freedom is Not Enough, which the Chicago Tribune called "contemporary history at its best." Her lecture will be based on her new book, Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right's Stealth Plan for America. This program is free and open to the public. The Book Stall will be on hand to sell books, and Dr. Maclean will be happy to sign copies for attendees.
